「Wireshark 4.6.8」、28件の脆弱性を修正 ～AI支援の脆弱性報告で前回の倍以上に

「Wireshark」v4.6.8がリリース

　フリーのパケットキャプチャーツール「Wireshark 4.6.8」が、8月12日（協定世界時）に公開された。「Wireshark 4.6」シリーズの最新版となる。

　本バージョンでは、以下の28件の脆弱性が修正された。「Wireshark」はAI支援による脆弱性報告が増加傾向にあるが、前回の12件から倍以上に増えた格好だ。

　そのほかにも、Windows環境で「Capture File Properties」（キャプチャーファイルのプロパティ）の表示が極端に遅く、「Wireshark」がハングしてしまう問題（v4.6.6で発生）が解決された。5G NAS関連のIEを正しくデコードできない不具合も、まとめて多数修正されている。

　「Wireshark」は、Windows/Mac/Linuxなどをサポートするクロスプラットフォーム対応のネットワークプロトコルアナライザー。ネットワークに流れるさまざまなパケットを採取し、情報をリアルタイムで表示したり、ログファイルを解析・調査できる。Windows版の対応OSは64bit版のWindows 10/11およびWindows Server 2019/2022で、現在公式サイト「wireshark.org」から無償でダウンロード可能。窓の杜ライブラリからもダウンロードできる。

　なお、今回修正された脆弱性の一部は旧ブランチの「Wireshark 4.4」シリーズにも影響する。利用中の場合はv4.4.18へのアップデートが必要だ。
