2020年1月14日以降、「Office 365 ProPlus」のサポートWindows環境は「10」のみに（2019年10月15日追記）

　米Microsoftは2018年2月1日（現地時間）、“Office 365”でサブスクリプション提供されているOfficeアプリケーション「Office 365 ProPlus」のシステム要件を変更することを明らかにした。

　まず、「Windows 10」で「Office 365 ProPlus」を利用する場合、サービス期間内の「Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel（SAC）」がサポートされるようになる。つまり、現時点では

• Windows 10、バージョン1607（Anniversary Update）：2018年4月10日サポート終了
• Windows 10、バージョン1703（Creators Update）：2018年10月9日サポート終了
• Windows 10、バージョン1709（Fall Creators Update）：2019年4月9日サポート終了

のみがサポートされ、それ以前の「Windows 10」はサポートされない。

　次に、2020年1月14日以降、以下のバージョンのWindowsでの動作がサポート外となる。

• すべての「Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Channel（LTSC）」リリース
• 「Windows Server 2016」およびそれ以前のバージョンの「Windows Server」
• 「Windows 8.1」およびそれ以前のバージョン「Windows」

　つまり、「Office 365 ProPlus」が利用できるWindowsはサービス期間内の「Windows 10 Semi-Annual Channel（SAC）」のみに統一される。

2019年10月15日追記： 2018年9月6日付で「Office 365 ProPlus」のサポート対象OSの変更予定が更新された。発表によると2020年1月14日以降もWindows 8.1およびWindows Server 2016は「Office 365 ProPlus」のサポート対象となるとのこと。Windows 8.1は2023年1月（Windows 8.1のサポート終了日）、Windows Server 2016は2025年10月までサポートが継続される。
