　2022年最初のパッチチューズデーも先週配信が完了し（不具合はあるみたいですが……）、バタバタした年始もそろそろ終わり。気が付けば1月も後半に入りましたが、いかがお過ごしでしょうか。そろそろ落ち着いてきたのではないかと思うので、今回は毎年恒例、本年でサポート終了のMicrosoft製品をご紹介します。

　もう耳タコだとは思いますが、サポート終了の製品はセキュリティパッチが提供されなくなるので使い続けるのは大変危険です。「まだ動くんですけど」などと言わず、できるだけ早めに後継製品への移行を進めましょう。

サポート終了を迎える製品

　まずはサポート・サービス終了を迎える製品たちです。今年で10年目となる「2012」のナンバリングがついた製品が目を引きますね。

2022年1月11日

　「Windows 7」「Windows Server 2008」は、サポートの終了後も3年間の拡張セキュリティ更新プログラム（Extended Security Update：ESU）が有償提供されていましたが、それが最終年に入ります。延長はされない予定なので注意してください。

　「Microsoft Visual Studio LightSwitch 2011」は、ほぼコードを書くことなく手軽に業務アプリ開発ツールを開発できるツールです。最近では類似の、もっと洗練された開発ツールが増えているので、そちらへの移行を検討しましょう。

　「Visual Studio 2019」には数バージョンごとに長期サポート（LTS）リリースが設定されています。v16.9以降へアップデートすれば、引き続き利用可能。

  • .NET Framework 4.6.1

　.NETのサポート状況については、公式サイトを参照のこと。LTS（.NET Core 3.1/.NET 6/.NET 8……）は3年間、それ以外のCurrentリリースは18カ月サポートされます。

　なお、クロスプラットフォーム対応の「.NET」（.NET Core）とWindows専用の「.NET Framework」は扱いが異なるので注意してください。
